WILMINGTON, MA — Watch the latest episode of “Access Abilities,” a new show on Wilmington Community Television to highlight residents with disabilities and their inspirational stories.
In the latest episode, host Dr. Dee Genetti interviews Wilmington Memorial Library’s Technology Librarian Brad McKenna. McKenna discusses his hearing loss, noting he failed his first hearing test in kindergarten but was able to navigate school and life without hearing aids until he was 23. He explains how COVID-19 and mask wearing has been very difficult for people with hearing loss.
McKenna also offers tips for people with hearing aids and stresses that if you can’t hear people, you must speak up and ask them to repeat themselves.
