#1) Wilmington Methodist Church Begins Selling Christmas Trees TODAY
Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) is selling Christmas trees this season as follows: Thursdays & Fridays: 4pm to 8pm, Saturdays: 10am to 8pm, Sundays: 10am to 6pm. Proceeds will allow the church’s Outreach Committee to support many causes.
#2) Town Offices Closed TODAY
All town offices, including Town Hall and the Library, are CLOSED the day after Thanksgiving.
#3) Trash & Recycling Collection Pushed Back One Day
Trash and recycling pickup has been delayed one day due to Thanksgiving. The usual Thursday collection will take place on Friday, and the usual Friday collection will take place on Saturday.
#4) Purchase A Wine Raffle Ticket To Support Wilmington Wildcats Cooperstown Team
The Wilmington Wildcats Cooperstown Team is holding a Wine Raffle. Tickets cost $20 each. First place winner will receive a 14-bottle basket. Second place winner will receive a 6-bottle basket. Third place winner will receive a 4-bottle basket. The winners will be announced in a Facebook Live drawing on December 4, 2020. Message their Facebook page to purchase a raffle ticket.
#5) Purchase Wilmington Holiday Greeting Cards To Support WCTV
Wilmington Community Television (WCTV) is holding a Wilmington Winter Wonderland Greeting Card Fundraiser.
Purchase a set of 5 cards created by local artists that depict Wilmington as a winter wonderland for $15. (10 cards cost $25 and 15 cards cost $32.) Cards can be pre-ordered online HERE and/or purchased in-person at WCTV studios (10 Waltham Street) via cash or check.
Participating local artists include Wilmington residents/natives Don Leard, Niki Jamieson, Kenneth Ward, and Jamie Boudreau, along with Ashley Nicole Martin.
All proceeds will benefit WCTV, which serves the Wilmington community throughout the year by providing video coverage of all things Wilmington. From government meetings to high school athletics & performing arts, we seek to broadcast the events that matter to you. Your support also helps us to continue providing opportunities for Wilmington Youth during our weekend and summer programs and to award scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
