Below is an announcement from Bridgewater State University:
BRIDGEWATER, MA — Bridgewater State University’s Department of Theater presents a dark political comedy, The Totalitarians, this November. Performances are exclusively online November 19, 2020 to November 22, 2020. Tickets for this raucous satire are available at www.BSUtix.com.
In a climate where politicians embrace their “truths” rather than actual facts, a celebrity roller derby champion/trophy wife may be the ideal candidate! Cast your vote for laughs as Penny Easter and her silver-tongued campaign manager Francine make a play for the Nebraska statehouse. Peter Sinn Nachtrieb’s biting satire is the perfect palate-cleanser for audiences who are tired of the “new normal” in modern politics!
This talented cast and company will safely stream the performance from all parts of the region: Britney Mallebranche (Wilmington, MA), Colin Lamusta (Lynnfield, MA), Dakota Lopes (Bourne, MA), Erin O’Donnell (Hull, MA) perform in the play; with director Miranda Giurleo (Burlington, MA), stage manager Angela Harrington & scenic designer Will Sexton (Kingston, MA), costume designer Erika Fay Greenwood (Cranston, RI), assistant stage manager Emily O’Donnell (Hull, MA), dramaturg Aya Khoury (Worcester, MA), and dramaturg Kyle Imbeau (Fairhaven, MA) lend their talents behind the scenes!
Catch The Totalitarians exclusively online November 19, 2020 to November 22, 2020. More info and tickets are available at www.BSUtix.com.
