WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to know in Wilmington on Saturday, October 24, 2020:
#1) Wilmington Families Invited To Haunted Drive-Thru In Wilmington Methodist Church Parking Lot On October 24
The WHS Lamplighters, in collaboration with Act 10 of Wilmington, are putting on a Haunted Drive Through to fundraise for Wilmington theater. The drive through will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 7pm to 9pm, at the Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street), and will feature actors ages 13-22 who are involved in local theater.
The cost to enter the drive through will be $8 per vehicle (of 1-4 people), and $2 per every extra person in a vehicle with over four people.
As per covid guidelines, the number of actors and tech people at our event will not exceed 50, and all participants will be wearing masks, even under costume masks, at all times. Actors will stay a safe distance from one another. In order to ensure the safety of all vehicles coming through, actors will not come within 3ft of cars.
#2) Wilmington To Participate In National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day On October 24
On Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 10am to 2pm, the Wilmington Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public its 19th opportunity in ten years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
Bring your pills for disposal to the Wilmington Police Department (1Adelaide Street). Liquids, needles or sharps cannot be accepted, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous — no questions asked.
#3) Yard Sale On Middlesex Avenue
A yard sale will take place from 10am to 2pm at 437 Middlesex Avenue featuring home decor, furniture, tools and more. [Source: GSALR.com]
#4) In-Person Early Voting Continues At Town Hall
All early in-person voting for all precincts for the upcoming Presidential Election will be conducted in the Town Hall Auditorium (121 Glen Road).

#5) Pumpkin Patch At Wilmington United Methodist Church
The Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) has organized its 5th Annual Pumpkin Patch. The Patch will be open from noon to 7pm during the week and 9am to 7pm on the weekends through Halloween (while supplies last). There is a large selection and variety of pumpkins and gourds available for sale daily on the church’s front lawn. Credit cards will be accepted.
