VIDEO: Meet Wilmington Boy Scout Taylor Hirst — He Has An Important Message For Residents

WILMINGTON, MA — Watch the latest episode of “Talk of the Town” with WCTV’s Lisa Kapala featuring quick, feel-good stories from around town.

In this episode, Kapala interviewed Wilmington Boy Scout Taylor Hirst. Taylor, a 6th grader at the Wilmington Middle School, recently wrote a letter to the Wilmington Apple asking residents to properly dispose of their PPE.  He was upset after seeing a lot of gloves around town while riding his bike, in the car, and on walks.

Taylor, who is a member of Troop 56, also wrote the letter, in part, to attain his Communication Merit Badge. He said he’s already received nearly 10 emails from teachers and classmates thanking him for taking the time to write the letter. Taylor also gave a shoutout to the Wilmington Memorial Library for distributing free bags and gloves to residents and encouraging them to pick up litter around town.
