DPW ANNOUNCEMENT: Wilmington Will Have New Trash & Recycling Contractor Beginning July 1

Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Department of Public Works:

WILMINGTON, MA — Beginning July 1, 2020, CASELLA WASTE SYSTEMS will be the new residential trash and recycle contractor in Wilmington. Trash and recycle procedures and schedules will remain the same.  Please continue to place barrels curbside on your regularly scheduled day.

To request a bulk item pick up, you may call 1-800-CASELLA (1-800-227-3552) starting on Thursday, June 25, 2020 and they will schedule that for you.

Collection stickers for White Goods/CRTs (appliances, televisions, monitors etc.) and Yard Waste punch cards must be purchased through the Town Hall. White Goods stickers can be purchased through Recreation by calling 978-694-2032. Yard Waste punch cards can be purchased through the Treasurer/Collector’s office by calling 978-658-3531. Callers will receive social distancing instructions on payment and sticker pickup. Town Hall hours are currently Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. No walk-ins are permitted at this time.

The Town will update residents on any changes as we move forward.
