POLICE LOG for June 10: Large Truck Attempts To Travel Over Butters Row Bridge; Car vs. 1-Ton Truck

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, June 10, 2020:
  • During a property check of Town Hall, police noticed a couple of empty alcohol bottles found near the Snack Shack. Bottles were disposed of. (2:12am)
  • Police notified DPW that the speed limit sign on Main Street between Breed Avenue and Border Avenue has overgrown trees blocking it that needs to be trimmed. (6:33am)
  • A car struck a 1-ton truck at Woburn Street and Eames Street. Car towed. Car’s driver issued a written warning for failure to grant right of way at an intersection. (8:03am)
  • A walk-in party reported an ongoing issue with trucks dumping yard debris at the dead end area of North Washington Street. (10:44am)
  • A walk-in party reported her debit card was used in North Carolina. (10:54am)
  • Police stopped a large truck attempting to travel over Butters Row Bridge. Driver was issued a verbal warning for failure to obey DPW signs. Police assisted truck in backing out. (12:51pm)
  • A caller reported a deceased turtle on Allen Park Drive. Animal Control Officer was notified and removed. (2:28pm)
  • A Molloy Road resident reported a UPS package delivered on May 18 was taken. (2:40pm)
