Below is an announcement from the Town Manager Jeff Hull’s Office:
WILMINGTON, MA — In light of Governor Baker’s emergency order requiring all businesses and organizations that are not providing “COVID-19 Essential Services” to close their work places effective at noon on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, Town Offices including the Town Hall, Library, Senior Center & Veterans Services will not open on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 and will remain closed until Wednesday, April 8, 2020. At that time, offices are expected to reopen for business but only remain accessible to the public on a limited based as has been the case since March 16, 2020. These dates and operating arrangements are subject to change based upon additional directives from state or federal authorities.
Department Heads will have limited access to email and voicemail and will respond to the extent possible. Some personnel will be working limited hours at Town Hall to address key functions including payroll processing and vendor payments. The Health and Building offices will be operational again on Friday, March 27, 2020 and each Tuesday and Friday during this closure period between 8:30am and noon to conduct inspections.
