Below is an announcement from Town Manager Jeff Hull:
WILMINGTON, MA — On Monday, March 16th the Town Hall, Wilmington Memorial Library, Public Works Administrative offices and Veterans Services office will be open for business. Public access to these facilities will not be permitted. As has been the case with the Senior Center, the Veterans Services office will be open by appointment only. Considering the rapidly evolving changes surrounding COVID-19, the Town of Wilmington is taking unprecedented measures to limit person to person contact and the spread of this daunting virus.
Consideration should be given to deferring matters that are not time sensitive. Members of the public are strongly encouraged to address their matters via email or telephone. Individuals seeking to make payments should use our online services or the drop box located next to the main entrance of Town Hall. If an individual needs to drop off or pick-up documents at any of these locations, we ask that you please call ahead so an employee can meet you outside at the appointed time.
A determination has not yet been made about public access to Town facilities for the remainder of the week. An announcement will be made on Monday, March 16th. The Town will continue to discuss its approaches to meeting the needs of the public while keeping the health of everyone in mind. Patience and understanding from our community is greatly appreciated. We are clearly in uncharted territory. One can only hope that the threat of this virus will dissipate and we all can return to business as usual.
Jeffrey Hull, Town Manager
