BILLERICA, MA — Virginia C. (Stevens) Staponites, age 87, beloved wife of the late Paul D. Staponites died Friday at her home with her family by her side.
She was born in Methuen, March 14, 1932 a daughter of the late Everett and Hazel (Parker) Stevens and lived in Cambridge before moving to Billerica in 1962.
Prior to her retirement Mrs. Staponites worked for the former Sweetheart Plastics in Wilmington.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Dolan and her husband Jim of Billerica; two sons, Michael Staponites and his wife Marie of Billerica and Paul Staponites and his wife Martha of Haverhill; one sister Barbara Blouin of Salem, NH; one brother Robert Stevens of Salem, NH as well as five grandchildren Peter, Dorothy, Linda, Brian and Melannie as well as 2 great grandchildren, Peter Jr. and Jonathan. She was the sister of the late Eleanor Bruno and Margaret Cooper.
It being her request all services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.
