CEILI STRONG: Music Bingo Fundraiser In Memory Of Ceili Kinneen Set For Tremezzo On October 24

WILMINGTON, MA — In 2017, Wilmington 12-year-old Ceili Kinneen passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

To honor Ceili, her family is hosting a Music Bingo Night on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Tremezzo Ristorante (2 Lowell Street).

“Together with friends, family and the community, we will celebrate the life of our sweet Ceili with three things she enjoyed so very much: love, laughter and music!,” said Kristen Wiercinski, Ceili’s aunt and one of the event’s organizers. Our Music Bingo event will have several big music bingo games with fantastic prizes from local businesses as well as many raffles with wonderful items to win.”

Tickets cost $35. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the One Mission Resource Room at Boston Children’s Hospital.

“My brother and sister-in-law have requested that the funds raised go specifically to the One Mission Resource Room at Children’s,” added Wiercinski. “Their little family received compassionate care and support through the Resource Room when Ceili was a patient at Children’s and they would like to use this fundraiser as a way to give back to other families of sick children.”

The One Mission Resource Room allocates funding to programs and services that help families to cope on a daily basis with the many emotional and financial challenges that childhood cancer brings. These include family-centered care initiatives that:

  • Make the journey easier during treatment and hospitalization.
  • Provide emotional support to patients, parents and siblings.
  • Make the hospital experience less scary and stressful.
  • Provide financial relief to families in need.
  • Help to ease the daily toll of hospitalization.
  • Bring smiles to the faces of sick children.

If you cannot attend the fundraiser, but would like to support the One Mission Resource Room in honor of Ceili, make a donation to the CeiliStrong page HERE.

Event organizers are also asking local businesses to consider making a prize donation to the event’s raffle table.

“No donation would be considered too small as we endeavor to raise funds to support families faced with the unthinkable: the fear and uncertainty of childhood illness,” said Wiercinski.
