#1) Wilmington Fun On The Fourth Concludes With Spectacular Fireworks

After yesterday’s rain postponement, the Wilmington Fun on the Fourth celebration wraps up today. Here’s the schedule:


7:00 AM – 11:00 AM Wilmington Minutemen, $5 (Pancakes, Sausage, OJ, Milk, Coffee)


5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Pack 56 Cub Scouts, $10 (BBQ Chicken, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Drinks)


1:00 PM – 10:00 PM Carnival – Cushing Amusements

7:30 PM Opening Ceremonies

7:30 PM – 10:00 PM Performance by Windham Community Band (Sponsored by Analog Devices)

9:00 PM Raffle Ticket Drawing

9:30 PM Spectacular Fireworks

#2) Wilmington Farmers Market

The Wilmington Farmers Market will be open from 10am to 1pm. For one week only, the market will be at the Yentile Farm Recreational Facility (9 Cross Street) as the Swain Green will be unavailable due to Fun on the FOurth.

#3) Wilmington Town Museum Open House

The Wilmington Town Museum (430 Salem Street) is holding its monthly Open House from 2pm to 4pm. The Museum at the Col. Joshua Harnden Tavern is owned by the town and is dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of the town of Wilmington. The Museum is housed in an historic 18th century tavern which is an excellent example of quality construction practices of the late 18th century. Exhibits are also on display in the adjacent late 19th century carriage house.

#4) Middlesex Canal Museum Open

The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm.  Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
