The Wilmington Fun on the Fourth continues today on the Town Common. Here’s the schedule:
7:00 AM – 10:00 AM Knights of Columbus (At K of C Hall, 126 Middlesex Ave), $5 (Bacon, Pancakes, Hash Browns, Juice, Coffee)
Food Court – Support the groups on the common!
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM Carnival – Cushing Amusements
6:00 PM – 9:30 PM Performance by “Haywire” (Sponsored by RE/Max Encore)
6:00 PM – Ladder Golf, HS Tennis Courts (Participants must sign a Consent/Release. Under 18 signed by a parent.)
6:00 PM Horseshoes (Second Round) (Participants must sign a Consent/Release. Under 18 signed by a parent.)
6:30 PM Ladies’ 2-mile Walk (Participants must sign a Consent/Release. Under 18 must be signed by a parent.)
7:00 PM Hospital Bed Race (Participants must sign a Consent/Release. Under 18 must be signed by a parent.)
#2) DEADLINE: Vote For 2 Restaurants With Wilmington Ties Competing In ‘Battle Of The Burger’
Two burgers with ties to Wilmington are vying for supremacy in the 8th Annual Boston Magazine’s Battle of the Burger.
The Woodsman from Red Heat Tavern, located at 300 Lowell Street in Wilmington, is a beef patty topped with Canadian bacon, cheddar cheese curds, whiskey glazed onions, an maple BBQ on a toasted roll.. The burger was created by Chef Alan Frati.
The Fat Tuesday from the Boston Burger Company is a certified Angus Beef patty topped with applewood smoked bacon and bourbon BBQ mac and cheese, andouille sausage, BBC Hotmess Sauce, crispy onion strings, and a Bourbon BBQ sauce all on a bun. The burger was created by Chef and Owner Paul Malvone of Wilmington.
Vote daily (every 24 hours) HERE until July 5, 2019 to ensure these two burgers make it to the live burger competition on August 14, 2019 at Flynn Cruiseport Boston. Voters will be eligible to win tickets to the event.
#3) Bingo At Senior Center
The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its weekly bingo game at 1pm.
