WILMINGTON, MA — Two burgers with ties to Wilmington are vying for supremacy in the 8th Annual Boston Magazine’s Battle of the Burger.
The Woodsman from Red Heat Tavern, located at 300 Lowell Street in Wilmington, is a beef patty topped with Canadian bacon, cheddar cheese curds, whiskey glazed onions, an maple BBQ on a toasted roll.. The burger was created by Chef Alan Frati.
The Fat Tuesday from the Boston Burger Company is a certified Angus Beef patty topped with applewood smoked bacon and bourbon BBQ mac and cheese, andouille sausage, BBC Hotmess Sauce, crispy onion strings, and a Bourbon BBQ sauce all on a bun. The burger was created by Chef and Owner Paul Malvone of Wilmington.
