It is with great enthusiasm that I officially announce my candidacy for reelection to the Wilmington Board of Selectmen. Over the past three years it has been my honor and privilege to work on behalf of the residents of our great town. I am grateful for the opportunity to have met so many wonderful people and hear your stories. It never ceases to amaze me how many outstanding people live in our community. Our town is unique in the sense that residents are very proud to call Wilmington their home. Residents are engaged in the community and always willing to do their part. I want to continue to do my part as a volunteer in our local government.
I am proud of the things that we have done over the past three years, but we still have much more to do. I recognize that like most communities in Massachusetts we have challenges that lie ahead, and we all know what they are. I want to be part of the solution to these challenges and I know that working together we can do more.
When I first ran for Selectman, Andrea and I had no children. Two years later we are blessed with two beautiful daughters, Charlotte and Grace. They have given me a new perspective and have reaffirmed and even elevated, my commitment in working to ensure that Wilmington remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
I have been incredibly lucky to have the support of so many of my friends and neighbors. I can’t tell you how much your encouragement has inspired me over the past few years. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to run again this year. Being one the board has been a huge learning curve, and I believe that I can be even more effective if elected to a second term.
I look forward to speaking with all of you in the coming weeks about how we can keep improving our community. With your help I plan to run a positive campaign that my family, friends and neighbors can be proud of. I ask for your help and humbly request you consider me for one of your two votes for a three year term on the Wilmington Board of Selectmen. Please remember to vote on Saturday, April 27th.
