In The Community: Meet sports celebrities at Greater Boston Sports Collectors Club’s 33rd Annual Sports Card & Memorabilia Show from 9am to 3pm at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) in Wilmington.

The event’s website touts that, in addition to autograph signings, the 3-day show will feature “200 of the top cards and sports memorabilia dealers in the country,” along with “the industry’s most respected and most recognized card graders and autograph & memorabilia authenticators.”
General admission tickets cost $8. Children under 10 and seniors (65 and over) are FREE. Tickets must be purchased at the door. Tickets to autograph lines, however, can be purchased in advance on the event’s website HERE. Please carefully read the varying appearance times, pricing and restrictions for each sports celebrity. Appearances are subject to change.
In The Community: The Shawsheen Tech will host its annual Community Open House from 2pm to 4pm. Come see all that Shawsheen has to offer. Attendees of the Community Open House can visit the school’s restaurant, bakery, full-service salon, Automotive Departments, and student operated school store. All are open to the public during the school day. Visitors will have the opportunity to see how the admissions process works and learn all about the valuable cooperative education programs, which provides students a unique opportunity to be employed in their field of study as juniors and seniors in high school. In The Community: St. Thomas/Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a Blood Drive from 10am to 3pm. Drop-ins welcome.
In The Community: The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
State Rep Race: The Dave Robertson campaign has organized a sign-holding event for supporters in front of the Wilmington Market Basket (260 Main Street, Wilmington Plaza) from 11am to 12:30pm. Congressman Seth Moulton and Register of Deeds Richard Howe will be there.
MBTA Reminder: There will be no weekend commuter rail service on the Lowell Line (Wilmington Center) until December. A free shuttle bus will be available. Learn more HERE.
Attention Drivers: The Massachusetts State Police will be holding a Sobriety Checkpoint in Middlesex County on Saturday, November 3, 2018 into Sunday, November 4, 2018.
