WILMINGTON, MA — U.S. Congressman Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) will be in town this weekend to campaign for Dave Robertson (D-Tewksbury), candidate in the 19th Middlesex State Representative race.
On Sunday, November 4, the Robertson campaign has organized a sign-holding event for supporters in front of the Wilmington Market Basket (260 Main Street, Wilmington Plaza). The standout is scheduled from 11am to 12:30pm. Moulton, whose congressional district includes Wilmington, will be present by 11:30am.
Congressman Seth Moulton and his Serve America PAC recently endorsed Robertson:
David Robertson is a life-long Tewksbury resident, graduating from Tewksbury High before attending the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He graduated with dual majors in Political Science and Economics, before working with pro-democracy groups both in the US and abroad. Originally working as a full-time intern, David later worked as Representative Miceli’s legislative aide, then Chief of Staff. During this time he helped thousands of individuals with constituent cases ranging from broken streetlights to much more serious issues, including residents stranded abroad. He also played vital roles in researching and publishing information on local issues, such as preventing the downsizing and discharge of Tewksbury Hospital patients, passing a state-wide holiday in memorial of fallen first responders, and promoting responsible economic development.
Moulton believes Robertson is a member of a new generation of leadership that is needed in the Democratic party.
“In the Marines, I served with great Americans from all over the country. We came together with different backgrounds and different beliefs, but we put aside those differences to do what’s best for America. That ethic of service is lacking in our nation’s capital and in state capitals across the country,” wrote Moulton in his endorsement. “The status quo isn’t working. We’re not going to fix the problems facing Americans today without a fresh perspective and a new approach. The American people need more service-driven leaders who put people over politics—who have the courage to do what is right, not just what is politically expedient.”
Middlesex North Register of Deeds Richard Howe (D-Lowell), who is running for re-election, will also be present for the standout.
