Wilmington’s Alyson Broussard, 15, Earns Gold Medal At Lake Placid Figure Skating Championship

WILMINGTON, MA — 15-year-old Wilmington figure skater Alyson Broussard recently took home the gold medal at the 2018 Lake Placid Championship in Lake Placid, New York.

Broussard competed in the Intermediate Ladies Test Track Division at the legendary 1980 Herb Brooks Olympia Arena. The competition concluded on July 1.

Broussard represented the Northeast Ice Skating Club out of Haverhill.  She also volunteers to teach learn-to-skate at the Ristuccia Arena for the Wilmington Figure Skating Club.

Broussard is coached by Amy Guzelf. She is the daughter of Julie and Tom Broussard.

  1. Congratulations to Champion figure skater Alyson Broussard!
    Keep going for more Gold, it would be awesome to see her in the Olympics!
    She even volunteers her time to teach others how to skate.
    It sounds like she is a gold medal person also!
