WILMINGTON, MA — 15-year-old Wilmington figure skater Alyson Broussard recently took home the gold medal at the 2018 Lake Placid Championship in Lake Placid, New York.
Broussard competed in the Intermediate Ladies Test Track Division at the legendary 1980 Herb Brooks Olympia Arena. The competition concluded on July 1.
Broussard represented the Northeast Ice Skating Club out of Haverhill. She also volunteers to teach learn-to-skate at the Ristuccia Arena for the Wilmington Figure Skating Club.
Broussard is coached by Amy Guzelf. She is the daughter of Julie and Tom Broussard.
