Find Out If YOUR Street Is Scheduled To Get Paved Over The Next 7 Months

WILMINGTON, MA — The town recently announced its planned street paving program for the 2018 construction season (April 15 to November 15).

Priority 1 projects are expected to be completed prior to November 15. Priority 2 projects are NOT expected to be completed during the current construction season. However, if one or more Priority 1 projects cannot be completed due to unforeseen circumstances, it is possible that a Priority 2 project will be completed.

These street paving projects are covered by Chapter 90 funds, which are allocated to the town each year by the state and do not require Town Meeting appropriation.  These particular projects are focused exclusively on roadways, not sidewalks.

In advance of each paving project, residents living along the streets to be paved will be notified using the Everbridge system. Additionally, the schedule for the start of construction and hours of construction will be noted on the Public Works Department’s webpage. Information about the timing of projects will also be sent out via the town’s Twitter account. Local news outlets — including the Wilmington Apple — will also typically provide information about project announcements.

Roadwork is generally scheduled to begin at 7am and conclude at 4pm each day.  Significant rain events will lead to delays or postponement of paving work.
