WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Friday, April 6, 2018:

Happening Today:

Weather: Rain and snow before 4pm, then snow likely between 4pm and 5pm, then a chance of rain and snow after 5pm. High near 40. Light southwest wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. … A chance of rain and snow showers before 7pm, then a chance of rain showers between 7pm and 4am, then a chance of rain and snow showers after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 33. Southwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

In The Community: Wilmington’s Beyond TOPS is hosting a Comedy Night, from 6:30pm to midnight, at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury). The show features comedians Paul Gilligan and Dave Russo. Tickets to this 21+-only event costs $25. Tables of 10 can be reserved. Buffet dinner will be provided. The evening will include a cash bar and raffle table. For tickets and more information, contact Rachele Phillips, Dave Celli, or Kaitlyn Riley. Proceeds from this event will benefit Beyond TOPS Memorial Fund, a fund to honor and help TOPS families. Beyond TOPS is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a sole purpose to integrate children with mental and physical disabilities into the community through sports. The organization strives to bring children of all abilities together, through physical activity, to make the community stronger.

In The Community: The Wilmington Band Parents’ Trivia Night is being held at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus. Doors open at 7:00 PM with Trivia starting at 7:30 PM. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Wildcat Bands with scholarships, equipment purchases and assisting with costs related to band camp. Tickets are $20/pp. Tables are available as well as sponsorships. At Wilmington Public Schools: Analog Devices’ engineers will promote science and technology education through demonstrations, hands-on activities, and a fact-finding competition during the 17th Annual Science and Tech Fair from 7:30am to 1:40pm at Wilmington Middle School (25 Carter Lane) in Rooms 247 and 248. At Town Hall: The deadline to submit petitioned warrant articles for inclusion on the Special Town Meeting Warrant is TODAY at 4:30 p.m.  Please note that one hundred (100) signatures of registered voters are required.
