ELECTION 2018: Wilmington Selectmen, School Committee & Town Moderator Debates Set For April 10

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Candidates Night 2018 is quickly approaching. It’s your best chance to hear from the candidates for Selectmen, School Committee, and Town Moderator on the major issues ahead of this year’s Town Election.

Candidates Night will be held on Tuesday, April 10th at WCTV studios (10 Waltham Street). The evening is sponsored by the Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce, WCTV and Reading Cooperative Bank.

The debate times are as follows:

  • 6PM: Town Moderator
  • 7PM: School Committee
  • 8PM: Board of SElectmen

All three debates will air LIVE on WCTV’s Government Channel (Comcast 22 / Verizon 38) and stream online HERE. The event is also open to the public.

Media panelists will include representatives from the Lowell Sun and Wilmington Apple. Questions may also come from the Wilmington Patch.

Ahead of the debate, you can meet the people on the ballot by checking out WCTV’s Candidate Conversations. These 5-10 minute interviews are a great introduction to the community. Voters can hear why candidates are running and what backgrounds they bring to the table.

Remember, Election Day this year is Saturday, April 28. Polls are open from 8AM to 8PM. Coverage of election results will air on WCTV’s Government Channel beginning at 8PM.
