WILMINGTON, MA — Below are FIVE things that happened at Monday’s Wilmington Board of Selectmen’s Meeting:

#1) As Wilmington’s current Town Counsel firm (Deutsch Williams) is dissolving into two separate firms, Selectmen unanimously signed an agreement with one of the newly-formed firms, Brooks & DeRensis, PC, to serve as Town Counsel through June 30, 2018, while the town searches for permanent counsel. (Brooks & DeRensis are believed to be applying for the permanent position as well.)  Selectmen also signed an agreement with Valerio Dominello & Hillman, LLC for Wendy Chu, formerly of Deutsch Williams, to finish out her work on an active arbitration case. Chu’s fees will be covered by DeRensis’s firm.

The parade will leave the 4th of July Building at 9:30am. On-field ceremonies will begin at roughly 9:45am.

#3) Selectmen approved the request of Director of Veterans’ Services Lou Ciamglia to conduct the Annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28. … Selectmen also approved the request of Town Clerk Sharon George to appoint election workers for 2018.
