Mike Moore, president and COO of award winning Moore Staffing Services of Methuen and managing partner with Supply Chain Talent Partners,  will discuss job market analytics and tips for finding the ideal job. Mike started working in the staffing industry in 1980 and opened the Methuen office in 1986.

Tranquil Tuesdays with Brad

Always wanted to start a meditation practice but don’t know how to start? Technology Librarian Brad McKenna, a meditator for over 15 years, will lead you through silent and guided meditations, share his personal experiences, and offer tips for success. Sessions will be 30 minutes. Join us for one, some, or all!

Living a Happier Life with Lizzie Casanave *RR
Thursday, January 25, 7 pm
Learn how to become happier simply by changing the way you think. Many of us feel we will be happier because of something -such as finding a new job, finishing a project, losing 10 pounds, etc. However, psychologists and neurologists are now realizing that happiness can be more readily achieved through changing the way we think. Led by Lizzie Linn Casanave, a professor of philosophy and member of the Northern Essex Community College Speakers’ Bureau.

Art Workshop: Drawing from Life *RR
Saturday, January 27, 9:30 am-12:30 pm (cost $10, limit 20)
Register at the main desk.
New to drawing or looking for a refresher course? This three-hour introductory workshop taught by WHS art instructor Jen Fidler, will cover sketching from observation, applying the rules of perspective, establishing strong composition and value ranges, and exploring the basics using both graphite and charcoal. Participants are welcome to bring small objects to draw on site or work from the still life provided by the instructor.
