WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Monday, November 20, 2017:
Weather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 40. Breezy, with a west wind 14 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph.
Traffic Advisory: Butters Row Bridge will be closed through at least December 8. The MassDOT are repairing damaged bridge timber deck planks and timber stringers. Work will take place daily from 7am to 7pm. Detour routes are posted HERE. … A Sewer Project on Lowell Street is underway from 7am to 4pm. Short traffic delays are expected particularly as the project advances through the Woburn and Lowell Street intersection.
Fall Yardwaste: The Town will collect leaves and grass clippings placed in biodegradable paper bags or uncovered barrels at curbside on regular trash collection days.
Municipal Meeting: The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7:15pm in the High School’s Principal’s Conference Room. Read the agenda HERE.
In The Community: Wilmington Community Television is holding a community forum on social media at 7pm in the WHS Large Instruction Room. WCTV is bringing together some of the people behind the town’s biggest social media pages to talk about how they see social media as a TOOL to connect the Wilmington community. The forum will feature panelists from the Wilmington Apple, Wilmington Police Department, Wilmington Memorial Library, the Buzzell Senior Center, Wilmington Townie Business Referral Group, and Wilmington MA Community Board Page.
