VIDEO: iPods For Wounded Veterans & Boy Scout Troop 136 Discuss Card Writing Event On November 4

WILMINGTON, MA — iPods for Wounded Veterans Chairman Paul Cardello recently discussed the latest happenings with the popular Wilmington-based non-profit.

Cardello was joined by Board of Director member Cindy Wurdeman and Wilmington Boy Scout Troop 136 Chaplain and Secretary Frank West.

The three discussed the card & letter writing campaign community event scheduled for this Saturday, November 4, from 11:30am to 3pm, at the Friendship Lodge (32 Church Street). Refreshments and “light bites” provided.

Stop by or spend the afternoon writing letters of encouragement and cards with holiday greetings. This is a time to celebrate and say thank you to our veterans that have sacrificed so much.  All card and letter writing materials will be supplied.

Also, local author BD Dion will be signing copies of her book, “1364 Days,” written about her father’s experiences in England during World War 2.  A portion of each sale of her book at the event will be donated to IPods for Wounded Veterans.

Cardello also discussed the group’s upcoming fundraisers, including an auction & buffett at Playoffs Sports Bar (512 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica) also on Saturday, November 4, from 1pm to 7pm, plus a Book Fair at Barnes and Noble in Burlington over Veterans Day Weekend.
