While many local running clubs participate in the race every year, it has become popular with athletes from Wilmington’s Sole Sisters Running Club. Many of the 285 club members will compete in either the Half or 5K, while others are out on the course providing motivation and manning water stop stations.
For the 8th year, Team Kelli Family & Friends will reunite to run/walk in memory of Kelli Agati Murray. Kelli passed away in June 2010 leaving behind five beautiful children and a town filled with family & friends. Race proceeds are used each year to fund two scholarships in Kelli’s name which are presented by Pat Agati in May.
