Senior Tones *RR

The Senior Tones is a band of retirees who love to play the oldies. Howie Conley began the group in 2008 with musical senior ice hockey players. They perform songs from the 50’s and 60’s, and are always a big hit.
Novel Ideas Fiction Book Group *RR

Enjoy reading fiction? Join the library’s fiction book group led by Adult Services Librarian Kim Rowley. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy of the featured book.
Shredding Day, Saturday, September 23, 9 am-12 pm
Town Common Parking Lot
The library, in partnership with the Wilmington Community Fund, is providing two on-site shredding trucks to handle household shredding (not businesses). We reserve the right to limit the amount of shredding due to wait time or truck space. Paper clips, rubber bands, and staples do not have to be removed. The shredding is free to the public–donations to the food pantry are encouraged and welcomed.
Interview Prep *RR

Are you nervous about interviewing? In this 90-minute workshop you will learn effective strategies so that you will be prepared to make a great first impression, answer the hard-hitting questions effectively, and always stay in the running through the application and interview process. There will also be a short discussion on resume writing. Presented by Tom Falzareno, a business development director for Cytel, a Drug Development CRO.
Great Decisions Series *RR
Mondays, Sept. 25, Oct. 2, 23, 30, Nov. 6, 13, 7 pm
This six-session Great Decisions program focuses on some of the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans: The Future of Europe, Trade and Politics, Conflict in the South China Sea, U.S. Foreign Policy and Petroleum, Prospects for Afghanistan and Pakistan, and Nuclear Security. Participants will use a briefing book published by the Foreign Policy Association and will be led in discussion by facilitator, Keith West. Cost is $25 for briefing book. Please register at the main desk.

Mad Science Presents: Space Frontiers *RR

Preschoolers turn into Astronauts in Training for our out-of-this-world workshop! Children learn why we can’t see stars during the day like we can at night. Then they learn about the largest star of our solar system — the sun! We explore what order the planets are in and how they are always spinning, all while orbiting the sun. Children finish up their Astronaut Training with a mock take-off and get to use robot-like arms to collect “moon rocks” as though they were really astronauts. Ages 3-6
