WILMINGTON, MA — Ceili Ann Kinneen, age 12, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on September 1, 2017.
Ceili was born in Winchester, MA, on September 19, 2004; she was the cherished daughter of Shawn and Susan Kinneen. Ceili was raised in a loving home along with her brother and best friend Conor.
Ceili was a beloved 7th grader at the Wilmington Middle School who enjoyed “hanging out” with her friends. She also loved music and playing the flute with the Wilmington Middle School Band.
At home, Ceili, looked forward to spending time with her family, playing with her brother, and making and posting video’s; she was certain she could be the next big YouTube Star.
Ceili will be fondly remembered for her beauty and strength, inside and out. She was quite a fighter when needed but she always managed to light up the room with her smile. Ceili had a large support system of family and friends who admired her for never giving up when she faced adversity and she showered them with unconditional love.
Ceili will always be a “one of a kind” young lady and will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ceili was the beloved daughter of Shawn and Susan (Graney) Kinneen, the loving sister of Conor Kinneen all of Wilmington, the special granddaughter of John and Margaret Graney of Wilmington, David and the late Karen Kinneen of Burlington. Dear niece of Kristen and Kevin Wiercinski, Karen and Jason Reilly, Kelly and Linas Virbickas, Mimi and Scott Loring, John Graney II, Michael and Mary Graney, Joseph Graney and Melissa Gerlach, Sarah and David Sullivan and Rebecca and Gabe Tharp. Ceili is further survived by many cousins and friends.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Tuesday, September 5th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, September 4th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. http://www.nicholsfuneralhome.com
