5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (August 20, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, August 20, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see increasing clouds, with a high near 88. West wind 5 to 8 mph.

#2) The Wilmington Farmers Market is open from 10am to 1pm on the Swain Green, across from the Town Common.  The lineup can be found HERE.

#3) The Aleppo Shriners are holding their third annual Car Show from 11am to 3pm  at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Street). Proceeds will benefit the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Admission is free to the public. The event includes music, prizes, food and a 50/50 raffle. Registration for show vehicles begins at 10am. #4) In response to Charlottesville, a group of Wilmington residents have organized a Candlelight Vigil for Peace at 5:30pm at Yentile Farm (9 Cross Street). This peaceful, family-friendly event is open to all. Learn more HERE.

#5) There is a yard sale from 6am to 10am on Oakdale Road. Learn more HERE.

PLUS: The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm.  Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
