Cookin’ the Books *RR
Tuesday, August 1, 12 pm
Featured Cookbook: A Super Upsetting Cookbook About Sandwiches by Tyler Kord
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you. Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online); email your recipe selection to leader Lisa Crispin ( Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes!

The Smartphone Simplified *RR
Wednesday, August 2, 7 pm
Are you new to the world of smartphones? Do all the screens and icons leave you flummoxed? Join technology librarian Brad McKenna as he goes over the basics of getting your smartphone to work for you.

Civil Disobedience Discussion *RR
Thursday, August 3, 7 pm
In celebration of the Bicentennial of Henry David Thoreau’s birth, Tom Hersey, a Professor of English at UMass Lowell will lead a discussion of Thoreau’s essay Civil Disobedience, which has become a manual for social protest and has relevance today. Pick up a copy and join the discussion.

Stamps of New England *RR
Monday, August 7, 2:30 pm
Henry Lukas, Educational Director of the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History, will make history come alive with his one hour PowerPoint presentation on the stamps of New England. All stamps tell a story and what better way to learn about the rich history of the Commonwealth and its neighbors.

Writing Group *RR
Monday, August 7, 7 pm
If you love to write and seek feedback, then join our writing group. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials in advance. Open to all genres and levels. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras.

Last Day on Mars Book Discussion *RR
Friday, July 28, 2-3 pm
While waiting to leave Mars before it burns up just like the Earth before it, Liam and his friend Phoebe discover some facts about time and space and realize that the human race is just one of the races trying to survive in space. Pick up a copy of this book at the Youth Services desk, and then join us for a discussion, activity and snack. Grades 4-5

Join us for a fun outdoor storytime at the Wilmington Farmers Market!

Papier Mache Workshop *RR
Monday, July 31 and Tuesday, August 1, 3 pm
In this two-part workshop you’ll make your own papier-mache animal sculpture! Grades 1-5

Build a Better World Preschool Storytime: At the Beach
Tuesday, August 1, 10 am
Come listen to books that take place at the beach and make a fun craft. Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Ages 3-6

Animal World Experience *RR
Wednesday, August 2, 6:30 pm
This program will warm your heart right from the start. Meet some of our adopted animals while you hear their stories and learn why adoption is the best option.

Baby Times
Thursday, August 3, 9:30 am
This program of songs, rhymes, games and picture books is for babies under the age of two years and their caregivers. Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Time for Twos
Thursday, August 3, 10:30 am
This fun program features books, songs, rhymes, music and movement. Age: 2 and a caregiver. Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Build a Better . . . Town
Friday, August 4, 10-12 am
Drop in for a different building challenge each week. This week we will be building our own town. Ages 3+

Super Smash Bros. Tournament *RR
Friday, August 4
Grades 1-3, 3 pm
Grades 4-8, 4 pm
We want you, Nintendo enthusiasts! This brawl will crown a Smash Bros. champ!
