5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (July 26, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Wednesday, July 26, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

#2) The 2017 “Sounds of Summer” Concert series continues on the Wilmington Town Common from 6:30pm to 8pm, with a return performance by local musician, Joe Leary.  A Wilmington native and singer/songwriter, Joe plays a wide array of Irish, country and acoustic music. “An evening with Joe means good friends, good times and good music!” Bring dinner, chairs or a blanket, and relax on the Town Common to the sweet sounds of summer.

#3) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE programs today:

  • Tech Help Drop-In (2pm-3pm)
  • Penguins & Popsicles (3pm-4pm)
  • Music and More (6:30pm-7:30pm)

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities:

  • SBF Exercise (9:45am)
  • Special Exercise (11am)
  • Country Line Dancing (1pm)

A coffee hour with take place at 9:30am to welcome the center’s new staff. Learn more HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.
