WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things you need to know in Wilmington for Thursday, June 22, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 85. West wind 3 to 8 mph.
#2) Four Wilmington dance schools are once again joining forces to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The Warrior Moms and Kids, a Wilmington Relay For Life team, will hold its third annual “Wilmington Dances For Hope” from 7pm to 10pm in the Wilmington High School Auditorium (159 Church Street). All proceeds will benefit the Wilmington Relay For Life. The fundraiser will feature performances from Wilmington Dance Academy, Debi’s Dance Studio, Lorraine Spada School Of Dance, and The Dance Company. The evening will also include raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle, and a bake sale. Tickets cost $10 in advance and $13 at the door. Contact any of the four studios to purchase tickets in advance.
#3) American Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive from 2pm to 7pm at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Walk-ins welcome.
#4) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding FOUR programs today:
- Baby Times (9:30am-10:15am)
- 3D Modeling for Grades 4-8 (10am-noon)
- Time For Twos (10:30am-11:15am)
- Author Talk: Joseph Finder (7pm-8:45pm)

#5) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its regular Thursday activities:
- Walking Group (9am)
- Art Class (10am)
- Aerobics (10:30am)

#7) Rocco’s (193 Main Street) is holding live music with Larry Gilbert beginning at 6pm.
#8) The Town Beach is open today. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 8pm. Admission is FREE for residents. Proof of residency is required. Learn more HERE.
#9) The Fourth of July Committee Building (142 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 2pm. Fun on the Fourth merchandise and meal tickets are on sale. Registration for some of the celebration’s free events is available.
