Wilmington Police vs. Wilmington Fire Charity Softball Game Set For July 1

WILMINGTON, MA — Members of the Wilmington Police Department and Wilmington Fire Department will battle for public safety supremacy in a Charity Softball Game on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 4pm at the Wilmington High School Softball Field.

Residents are strongly encouraged to attend.  Aside from the action on the field, the event will feature a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, concessions, drinks, and commemorative t-shirts for sale.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The 100 Club of Massachusetts, which financially rescues the dependents of firefighters and law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

The event is sponsored by the Boston Bruins Foundation and Boston Bruins BFit, a new community fitness initiative. Developed by former Bruins strength and conditioning coach and Wilmington resident John Whitesides, BFit strives to promote healthier living through approachable fitness and dietary eduction.
