WILMINGTON, MA — In the latest episode of WCTV’s “Where’s Wilmington,” host Lisa Kapala interviews Joe Martiniello and Selectman Greg Bendel regarding the upcoming Wilmington-Billerica Relay For Life on Friday, June 16 into Saturday, June 17 at the Wilmington High School.
Martiniello, the Event Lead, explains what Relay is and what participants can expect. He also discusses volunteer opportunities, plus services and resources that the American Cancer Society provides. Bendel discusses his support of the event and encourages others to participate. He’s particularly excited to see so many young people participate from the Wilmington High School and Shawsheen Tech. Bendel challenged each of his fellow Selectmen to make a donation. Martiniello noted that Wilmington Relay for Life, entering its 10th year, is just $40,000 shy of reaching the $1-million fundraising mark.
