OBITUARY: JoEllyn (Ryan) Sullivan, 62

WILMINGTON, MA — JoEllyn (Ryan) Sullivan, age 62, of Wilmington, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 18, 2017.

JoEllyn was the beloved wife of John “Jay” Sullivan, devoted mother of Kerri Burke & her husband Bryon, Katie Sullivan and the late Jay Jay Sullivan all of Wilmington. Loving “Nan” of Aidan and Gavin Burke, dear daughter of Carolyn (Quinlan) Ryan and the late James E. Ryan of Hanover (formerly of Cambridge), sister of Caryl O’Brien of North Reading, Jean Ryan of East Bridgewater, Janet O’Connor of Wilmington and James Ryan of Hanover. JoEllyn is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

JoEllyn was a dedicated nurse at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge for 40 years.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Tuesday, May 23rd at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, MA. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, May 22nd from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Nan’s Circle of Hope Foundation, c/o Lowell Five Bank, 270 Main St., Wilmington, MA 01887.
