10 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (May 15, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things you need to know in Wilmington for Monday, May 15, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see showers, mainly before 10am. High near 58. Northwest wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

#2) Wilmington resident Patrick Keogan, who pled guilty in February to making threats over Facebook to burn a local mosque, unlawfully possessing dozens of firearms, ammunition and child pornography, is scheduled to be sentenced TODAY.  His crime made national news.  Learn more HERE.

#3) The Reading Municipal Light Department is holding a free educational session at 6pm in the Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue).  The session will aims to reduce customers energy consumption and energy bills.  Learn more HERE.

#4) The Woburn Street’s School Advisory Council meets at 2:45pm at the school. Read the agenda HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding “Little Movers” session (singing, dancing and moving for ages 1-2) at 10am. Learn more and register HERE.

#6) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its usual Monday activities:

  • Blood Pressure (9:30am)
  • SBF Exercise (9:45am)
  • Special Exercise (11am)
  • Knitting/Crocheting (11am)
  • Quilting (1pm)
