WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Yentile Farm Open House On Saturday, May 13

WILMINGTON, MA — The Yentile Farm Recreational Facility, at 9 Cross Street, Wilmington, will have its official launch with an Open House on Saturday, May 13, 2017. The event begins at 10:00 am with planned activities until 3:00 pm. All activities will be held rain or shine. As Yentile Farm Recreational Facility is a pet-free establishment, please remember to keep your pets safe at home.

The occasion will begin with a flag raising ceremony at 10:00 am followed by comments from Yentile Farm Development Committee Chair, Judy O’Connell, and dedicated members of the community who helped bring this facility to life. After a warm welcome and ribbon cutting, games and activities will commence on the artificial turf field, event lawn, and basketball courts. Refreshments and snacks will be available thanks to generous donations by the Rotary Club of Wilmington and Wilmington Sons of Italy. A DJ sponsored by the Wilmington Community Fund will provide music for the occasion. The Open House format will allow attendees to come and go throughout the day.

As the event is expected to be well-attended, parking at the site will be limited. Additional parking will be available in a designated area at Textron, 201 Lowell Street, and in the two lots adjacent to Textron’s tennis courts (see map). For the safety of both pedestrians and motorists, attendees are asked not to park on Route 129 (Lowell Street), or Route 38 (Main Street).
