LIBRARY LINEUP: Antique “Road-Show” Appraisal Night Set For May 4

WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a list of FREE upcoming programs for adults, teens and kids at the Wilmington Memorial Library.

Registration begins 30 days prior to the event. Please register online using our Calendar of Events at www.wilmlibrary.org or by calling (978) 694-2099 (for Adult) or (978) 694-2098 (for Children/Teen). Health & Wellness 101: Change Your Habits; Change Your Life *RR
Monday, May 1, 2:30 pm
Do you struggle with aches, pains, headaches, weight issues, or heartburn? Christine Canevari, an Independent Consultant for Arbonne International, will teach tips and tools to maximize your health and well-being through all stages of life along with a nutrition and mindset approach. Learn what may be the core of your troubles and how to combat them to reclaim your health!

Cookin’ the Books *RR

Featured Cookbook: EveryDayCook by Alton Brown
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this group is for you. Pick up a copy of the cookbook (or find a recipe from the book online) and email your recipe selection to leader Lisa Crispin (lcrispin@wilmlibrary.org). Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes!

Hands-on with Microsoft PowerPoint *RR
Wednesday, May 3, 7 pm
Join technology librarian, Brad McKenna, for a hands-on exercise with Microsoft PowerPoint. In this class you’ll learn how to insert text, apply animations and transitions, insert charts from an Excel workbook, and more. A handout for additional practice will be provided.

Antique “Road-Show” Appraisal Night *RR
Thursday, May 4, 7 pm
Attendees can each bring one antique to be identified and evaluated by Ron Wackowski, Licensed Auctioneer and Certified Appraiser. All appraisals will be verbal. The number of appraisals given may be limited due to time constraints and crowd size.

Teen Trivia Night *RR
Tuesday, May 2, 6:30 pm
Show us your smarts at pub-style trivia! Play against your friends, putting your pop culture knowledge to the test. The winning team walks off with prizes (and bragging rights!). Snacks are provided. Grades 6-12

Kindergarten Book Club *RR
Wednesday, May 3, 3:45 pm
This book club is for kindergarteners who miss storytime or those who love to be read to. We will read a book or two together, discuss it, and then do a fun activity.

Parent and Child Book Club *RR
Wednesday, May 3, 6:30 pm
Kids and a special adult in their lives are invited to join us for a discussion of Stuart Little by E.B. White. Pick up a copy of the book at the Children’s Desk. We’ll discuss the book and make a fun craft! Grades 1-3

LEGO Building
