WOW Launches Book Drive To Honor Joanne Benton’s Legacy & Benefit School Libraries

WILMINGTON, MA — In honoring the legacy of Joanne Benton, We’re One Wilmington is organizing a book drive of new and like new books for ages kindergarten-12th grade.

All books will be labeled “In Loving Memory of Joanne Benton” and distributed to Wilmington schools’ libraries and classroom libraries.  Any excess books will be offered to the Wilmington Memorial Library and then to local children’s organizations that may have a need for books.

You may bring the books to WOW’s Run For Wilmington/Kim Forte Walk this Sunday, April 23 at the Town Common, drop them at The Cleaner Spot (209 Main Street) anytime from now until Mother’s Day (Monday-Friday: 7am to 7pm, Saturday: 8am to 5pm; Sunday: 11am to 3pm), or email Jomarie (jomarie0525[at]yahoo.com) to arrange for a pick-up or alternative delivery location.

The seeds of knowledge and kindness that Joanne spread in our lives will continue to grow in the gardens of our children’s hearts.
