WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
#1) Wilmington’s Concert on the Common Series concluded tonight with a performance from the ’60’s Invasion from 6:30pm to 8pm. Sit back as the band takes you back to the days of Elvis, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and more. Music, trivia, nostalgia – it’s all sixties! Bring dinner, chairs or a blanket, and relax on the Town Common to the sweet sounds of summer. If you’re going, make sure to bring a few extra dollars to buy a drink or snack from the Wilmington High School Band Parents booth! Learn more about the fundraiser HERE.
#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding TWO programs — a Device Drop-In (2pm-3pm) and Read To Zoey (6:30pm-7:30pm). Learn more and register HERE.
#3) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities — SBF Exercise (9:45am); Special Exercise (11am); and Country Line Dancing (1pm).
#4) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.
#5) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less! Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.
PLUS: Town Beach is open today with lifeguards on duty, 10am to 8pm. Learn more HERE.
