10 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (April 29, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Friday, April 29, 2016.

#1) A fundraiser is being held for Bernie McNally and his nephews on Friday, April 29 at 7pm at Kitty’s Restaurant (123 Main Street, North Reading). Learn more HERE.

#2) ‘Team Loca Motion’ is holding a Trivia Night to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital at 7pm at the upper hall of the Wilmington Knights of Columbus (112 Middlesex Avenue). Tickets cost $15.  Learn more HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Knights of Columbus (112 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a music trivia night from 8pm to 10am in its downstairs hall.  Learn more HERE.

#4) Spring cleaning?  Savers (235 Main Street) is running a Donation Drive Fundraiser for the Shawsheen/West PAC on Friday, April 29 (9am-9:30pm); Saturday, April 30 (9am-9:30pm); and Sunday, May 1 (10am-7pm).  The PAC will receive a small amount of money from the store for every item donated. #5) The Town is holding a public hearing regarding the removal of three healthy trees on Mass Avenue at 10am at Town Hall (Room 9). Learn more HERE.

#6) WHS Boys Tennis takes on Burlington at 3:30pm at Rahanis Park in Burlington. WHS Girls Tennis hosts Burlington at 3:30pm at Wilmington High. WHS Baseball hosts Stoneham at 3:45pm at Wilmington High. WHS Softball hosts Stoneham at 3:45pm at Wilmington Town Park (Route 38). WHS Boys Lacrosse hosts Wakefield at 4pm at the Woburn Street School.  WHS Girls Lacrosse takes on Wakefield at 4pm at Wakefield High.

#7) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its regular Friday activities — Video Exercise (10am); Special Exercise (11am); Bingo (1pm) and Cards (1pm).

#8) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a drop-in story time from 10am to 11am. Learn more HERE.

#9) The Wilmington Board of Assessors meets at 10am in the Town Hall’s Small Conference Room. Read the agenda HERE.

#10) REMINDER: The State Police is holding a sobriety checkpoint somewhere in the Middlesex County Friday night into Saturday morning.
