10 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (February 13, 2016)

Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Saturday, February 13, 2016.

#1) Wilmington Community Television is hosting its annual food drive, Donations from the Heart at the Wilmington Market Basket (260 Main Street), from 9AM to 1PM.  Learn more HERE.

#2) Wilmington Youth Hockey’s 8-week Learn to Play Hockey session starts TODAY at 7am at Ristuccia Arena.  Learn more HERE.

#3) The Commerford Kid’s Fun Fair & Traveling Zoo visits the Shriners Auditorium from 10am to 7pm.  Learn more HERE.

#4) Wilmington native Dan Vassallo will compete in the marathon at today’s Olympic Trials!  Tune into NBC (Channel 7) at 1pm to watch live.  Learn more about Dan’s story HERE.

#5) The WHS Girls Hockey team battles Burlington at 8:10pm at the Burlington Ice Palace.  The WHS Boys Hockey team takes on Burlington at 8:30pm at Ristuccia.  Members of the WHS Boys Wrestling Team competes in the Division III North Sectional Tournament.

#6) Pacific Grove (211 Lowell Street) is hosting Karaoke from Winnell Entertainment at 8pm.

#7) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less!  Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.

#8) The Wilmington Youth Center (126 Middlesex Avenue, Villanova Hall) is open from 7pm to 9:30pm. The Center is for 6th, 7th and 8th graders who live in Wilmington.  Learn more about the Center, and how you can sign your child up, HERE.

#9) The Wilmington Food Pantry (142 Chestnut Street) is open from 10am to noon for food donation drop-offs. Learn which food items the Pantry is most in need of HERE.

#10) Free Tax Preparation is being offered to Wilmington seniors by AARP volunteers at the Reading Municipal Light Department Building (rear), 230 Ash Street, Reading on a walk-in basis, with no appointment needed, Saturday mornings from February 6 through April 9, 2016.
