5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (November 16, 2015)

Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Monday, November 16, 2015.

#1) Today is the final day to submit an application for We’re One Wilmington (WOW)’s Holiday Gift Program. If you or a family you know is experiencing emotional or financial hardships this holiday season, please fill out WOW’s online referral form HERE or contact coordinator Pam Almeida at pamgrady@yahoo.com with any questions.

#2) Brush Strokes Art Studio of Tewksbury is holding a paint night in Wilmington from 7pm to 9pm at Rocco’s Restaurant & Bar (193 Middlesex Avenue). Come eat, drink and paint!  Participants will paint their choice of either two wine glasses or two glass ornaments. Brush Strokes will provide all the paint supplies.  No painting experience is necessary.  Space is limited so register by calling 508-572-0853 or by clicking HERE. Cost is $35.

#3) The Wilmington Special Education PAC (SEPAC) is holding a workshop for parents at 7pm in the high school’s large instruction room. Jackie Stachel, from Beyond BookSmart, will present “Executive Functions: Fit The Strategy to the Learning Profile.” Learn more HERE.

#4) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a visit from its new reading therapy dog, Zoey, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. “Zoey is a great listener who loves to have children of all ages to read to her and improve their reading skills. Please call the Children’s Department at 978-694-2098 to sign up for a 15 minute session.”

#5) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its typical Monday activities — Blood Pressure Clinic (9:30am); SBF Exercise (9:45am); Special Exercise (11am); and Quilting (1pm). Sign-ups begin today for the Kiwanis Club-sponsored Luncheon on Sunday, December 6, noon. Learn more HERE.
