Wilmington Middle School 8th grade students are taking Washington, DC by storm!
On Tuesday, students departed from the Wilmington Plaza around 6am. They arrived in DC by 5pm and visited the Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial and Vietnam War Memorial.
On Wednesday, students are getting their pictures taken on the Capitol steps around 8:30am, touring the Newseum from 9am to 11am; touring the National Zoo from 1pm to 3:30pm; touring the World War II Memorial and Martin Luther King Memorial from 4pm to 6pm; and taking the “Spirit of Washington” Dinner Dance Cruise along the Potomac River from 7pm to 10pm.
On Thursday, students are touring the Arlington National Ceremony from 8:45am to 11:30am; visiting the Holocaust Museum and Smithsonian Museums from 1pm to 6pm; and taking in the Washington Nationals vs. New York Mets game from 7pm to 10pm.
On Friday, students are touring the U.S. Naval Academy at 10am and departing Washington at 11:30am. Students should be arriving at the Wilmington Middle School around 10:30pm.
