Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Publishes Spring Newsletter

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce published its Spring Newsletter yesterday.

Here are some highlights:

  • “About 50 members attended our 54th Annual Luncheon hosted by Windsor Place of Wilmington.  The Chamber Director & President provided an impressive review of 2014 Chamber successes, especially regarding financials and increased website traffic.  Cameron Cunningham ended his 2-year term as President and handed the gavel over to 2015-2017 President, Audrey Kelly, who introduced the entire Board of Directors.  Lorena Prime, Productivity Expert from Clearly Organized, finished up the meeting with a 30-minute presentation that included time management tips and tactics.  Thank you to the meeting sponsors: Bill Dube Hyundai, Hair Cuttery, Home Instead Senior Care, and Windsor Place.
  • “The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that, once again, five scholarships are available to Wilmington residents who will be graduating from high school this year.  The Chamber is also donating $500 to the “Sean Collier Scholarship Fund.”  Proceeds from the Chamber’s Annual Road Race each September fund these on-going scholarships and donations.  Applications are available at WHS and Shawsheen Tech Guidance Officers, the Chamber’s office at 226 Lowell Street or here. The deadline is 5/1/15.”
  • Race planning is underway for Wilmington’s 11th Annual Half Marathon & 5K Run or Walk.  Registration will open at the end of April online at www.racewire.com or by downloading a mail-in registration form from our website.  “Become a sponsor and get your business name in front of 600+ participants & spectators via table set-up, race bag insertion, t-shirt logo, media and signage.  Sponsorships allow the Chamber to award scholarships to Wilmington graduating seniors.  Be part of the fun and excitement of this community event as a volunteer.  Sign up to help at the race site or out on the courses.  Mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information soon.”
