Business Networking for the Job Seeker (RR)

Kevin Willett the CEO of the Friends of Kevin Networking Group joins us for an interactive conversation about the benefits of networking to find your next job. The Friends of Kevin Networking group has placed 14 people in the last two years. Kevin will discuss how to build relationships to help you find your next job.
Tuesday Night Craft
Chrysanthemum Mirror
Tuesday, April 14, 7 pm
With Earth Day on the horizon, this environmentally-conscious craft transforms upcycled materials into a stunning piece of wall décor. By painting and layering plastic around a small mirror, the finished project will resemble a blooming chrysanthemum. (ages 16+, limit 15, cost $5.00; register at main desk)
Walk Through the Delta–blues concert (RR)
Thursday, April 16, 2:30 pm
A Walk Through the Delta is both an entertaining and educational overview of early 20th century southern music, primarily from the Black music of the day and its influence on the later jazz, rock music and even bluegrass. Songs are punctuated with foil humor while introducing the audience to the musical styles and key performers of this era. “Poor Howard” Stith has been performing 12-string barrelhouse blues for over forty years in the U.S., Europe, and Japan.
Fiction Book Group (RR)
Thursday, April 16, 7pm
Enjoy reading fiction? Come to the initial meeting of the library’s fiction book led by Adult Services Librarian, Kim Rowley. The book to be discussed is Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford; copies will be on hand at the main desk starting in February. Book groups are a wonderful way to expand your reading interests and meet others in the community. All are welcome; refreshments served.

Get a Job! – How to Prepare for a Job Interview (RR)
Monday, April 13, 3 pm
Join professional career coaches Bonnie Petrovich and Jan Stewart for an interactive workshop to help you with the job search. Learn how to write a resume, dress to impress for an interview, interact with a potential employer, and more. Then use the advice and tips of these experts at our Teen Job Fair on Wednesday, April 22.
Teen Job Fair (RR)

Are you interested in volunteering or looking for a summer job? Come to our Teen Job Fair! Teens age 15-17 are invited to meet with employers in the community to talk about current and future positions. Representatives from Market Basket, Panera, Red Heat Tavern, Burger King, and more will be available for teens to meet.
Teen All-You-Can-Read Buffet (RR)
Friday, April 24, 12 pm – 4 pm
Back by popular demand! Bring something comfy, pick a spot, and enjoy this reading marathon with a cold drink and endless snacks. Choose from our selection of popular teen books or bring your own. Make it to the end and you’ll be rewarded with a pizza feast. Open to grades 6-12.

All Hands Drumming Workshop with Tony Fonseca *RR

Learn to drum from a professional instructor using an easy to follow Color Code system that allows children to quickly learn rhythm patterns, feel accomplished, and have fun while developing individual skills and group drumming experience. Grades 1-5.

Week of the Young Child Art Show

Artwork done by children who attend preschool or day care in Wilmington will be on display.
Save the Date Town Wide Yard Sale
Saturday, June 13, 9am – 3pm
Start cleaning out your attic and plan to be part of the town wide yard sale. For $15 dollars, the library will promote the sale through all its channels and will provide a map online and in print of all the sale locations. In addition, you will receive two yard sale signs to post. Applications are available at the library and online HERE.
