WILMINGTON, MA – Here’s your one chance to hear directly from and meet all the candidates running for Town Moderator, Selectmen and School Committee before the April 26th Town Election.
According to an announcement in last week’s Wilmington Town Crier, Wilmington’s annual “Candidates Night” will take place on Tuesday, April 7, 6pm-8pm, from the studios of Wilmington Community Television (10 Waltham Street).
The evening’s schedule, as outlined in the announcement, is as follows:
- 6pm-6:30pm “Meet The Candidates” Reception
- 6:30pm-7pm Conversation with unopposed School Committee incumbents Manny Mulas and M.J. Byrnes
- 7pm-7:30pm Debate between Town Moderator candidates Leigh Martinson and Robert Peterson Jr.
- 7:30pm-8pm Debate between incumbent Selectman Mike Champoux and challenger Kevin MacDonald
As in years past, Wilmington Candidates Night will be moderated by Wilmington Town Crier News Editor Jayne Miller, with questions asked by a panel of local media.
This annual event is sponsored by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, Reading Co-Operative Bank, Wilmington Community Television, and Wilmington Town Crier.
For voters who cannot attend Wilmington Candidates Night, WCTV (Channel 22 on Comcast, Channel 38 on Verizon) will carry it live and make the broadcast available for on-demand online viewing shortly thereafter.
