WILMINGTON, MA – Wilmington High School’s Choral and Theatre Support group (WHS C.A.T.S.) is proud to announce the seventh annual March-A-Pella VII, to be hold on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 7pm at the Wilmington Middle School Auditorium.
March-A-Pella is an all a cappella music event featuring High School, College and Professional a cappella groups. In addition to singing words, a cappella singers emulate instrumentations by reproducing sounds and melodies with their vocal words. In other words, there are no instruments! Come and come see this unforgettable evening of a cappella music.
This Year’s Performers:
- Westfield State University’s Night Owls
- UMass Lowell’s Vocality
- Wilmington High School’s Soundscape and Cadence
Featured Performers:
- Fermata Town: Fermata Town is comprised of 13 singers, who bring an energetic and fresh sound to the stage. They are a semi-professional co-ed a cappella group, based out of Boston, Mass.
- Ball in the House: This year’s headlines are returning professional recording artists, Ball in the House. The group is 5 guys, 5 voices, and a sound that will astound and amaze you, THAT’S IT. A review from the Boston Globe put it very succinctly: “Ball in the House has everything you would expect to find in a successful pop/rock and… the only thing it doesn’t have is INSTRUMENTS!!!”
Advanced ticket sales are available now online HERE. Adults cost $12 ($15 at the door) and students cost $10.
All proceeds from the show go towards Scholarships and supplemental funding for the Performing Arts of Wilmington High School.
