Dear Editor,
Early voting for the November 3 Election has begun. Voters should closely look at Ballot Question No. 7. This Question would impact Zoning in Wilmington and other similar towns throughout the Commonwealth. It would give the State Legislature the right to override current local zoning bylaws by requiring towns to allow single family homes to be built on 5,000 square foot lots. This could impact schools and our water supply.
First, it was the MBTA Zoning mandate and now this initiative. Local control of zoning is being taken away little by little by the power brokers on Beacon Hill.
